NU15 clean disk doesn't recognize firefox or Mozilla

Hi All:

Have combed the forum for tips. Many are similar but none solve this completely.

Have NU15 all updates and live update done daily at minimum.  Windows 7 64bit.

Have run NU 15 before to defrag etc.  No issues until switched from IE8 to Mozilla/ Firefox several months ago.

Clean disk selection of NU 15 on the "browsers" tab shows Int. Explorer w/ "status" as installed. When in fact it is not installed. Below that are several other popular browsers. I actually use Firefox, and it's updated regularly.
It says "not installed" when it is the browser that I use.

The last two times (I didn't see a pattern til 2nd running of NU clean disk) the cleaning function took out 3661 items. It makes a list each time it runs so I can see it in tiny font.

The downside is that it destroys my ability to read/delete any hotmail.  It doesnt load propertly in that the usual picture/formatting seems "off"     Also noticed a frequently used website  do not load w / pictures  just the words in an outline format.

Attempted fix was to 1) uninstall reinstall Java.   That alone did not work    Tried a uninstall reinstall of Adobe.  That didn't seem to do it either.  Went back to a recovery point.     Seemed to work after that either alone or inconjunction with above.

So as much as I like to be "tidy-ed up" by Norton, it takes me a while to fix and I don't reall know what i am fixing or just recovering over the problem.

Any suggestions welcome.

PS If you need screen shot as I see in other posts please advise best way to produce one

Hmm.....hadn't thought of that.  I will have to figure out a work around--either go back to IE,  or keep FF and just stop using that function, or at least until i get a newer version    .. Thanks for your time and opinion.

If you have a good and fast internet connection (so that it is not a problem if FF redownloads a lot of things /pictures, texts, etc/ again), I would suggest to configure FF to remove the temporary files when you close it. You have this option in the FF Settings.

EDIT: This is the setting you need (sorry for the Hungarian picture, I use this version :P)

Still on the computer and saw your message.  Yes, I do have the same screen.  I wil make note of this to try out when time permits, and save this thread to get back and see if it's a fix. It might be a while though.  Again thanks for your efforts. Love the software except when it takes over my life.
