Numerous instances "Unauthorized access blocked"

I have a multitude of “Unauthorized access blocked” security history BLOCKS for C:\Windows\system32\Taskmgr.exe

I find this very strange being that it would appear to be thr task manager. I always have windows task manager open, and this “block” does not affect viewing task manager.

Furthermore. I have no performance issues. Reason for this post is to try to figure out why I have so many instances of said “block” everytime I look at my “security history”

Thread was then immediately closed with no further info. Easy way to dismiss of problems I suppose, just ignore them & users.

The forum software automatically closed threads after 30 days of no new posts. It has nothing to do with whether or not there was a solution to the issue.

Have the same issue, been there for a while, does have no apparent effect except filling up history. Did find a thread for this in Community a while back, but did not keep note of actual thread number etc. There were quite a number of postings from users, final entry was from a Norton employee acknowledging & Norton would be looking into issue. Thread was then immediately closed with no further info. Easy way to dismiss of problems I suppose, just ignore them & users.

What you are seeing is the Norton Product Tamper Protection feature blocking access to Norton's files and processes. Even Windows system files can try to access Norton and will be blocked and recorded the Norton History. This is all normal operation.
