Offline Activation

I have a Norton 360 Premium 3yr subscription with digital download. I need to install it offline without an internet connection due to organization cyber security policy. Kindly suggest how to do so.

Just another follow-up to the thread. Here is a scenario that, your IT may find a way to implement much the same as Microsoft activations are done within a corporate environment. It involves, volume activation, to a central key management server host where only that host directly interfaces with activation. Just something to consider.

Ok, thank you. We are exploring that possibility too through our GeM supplier.

You have 60 days from purchase to request a refund. As you have already made contact with Norton Support, they can process the refund for you if it comes to that.

Hello,

I am awaiting a solution from Norton Support. I contacted them on phone and after hearing me out they sent an email to me as registered with them along with my Case No and told me to send an email to them for further enquiries but they haven't reverted yet. They did ask me to verify my email first by sending a code which I had to repeat to the person I was speaking on phone.

The thing is we have purchased the item and are now stuck with it unless Norton has a return policy.

Even with an offline installer, after you enter the product key the product may work for about a week without internet. Then it will lock up and not work until an internet connection to allow the product to check with the subscription servers.

Not sure how you contacted Norton by email, but Norton has not used email for support for a few years now.

If you say you have found other solutions that allow totally unconnected use, it looks like you will have to explore those.

Hello,

We need a solution to install the antivirus in an offline mode maybe through a CD through which we can install the executable files and then enter the respective keys on our PCs. We have 70 PCs which are awaiting installation due to this hindrance where an online connection is required.

As we are a defence establishment, we don't have access to internet for all our PCs. The PCs itself are owned by us but purchased from government funds that were allotted to us for the purpose.

There are other Anti Virus providers who do provide offline installation and Norton used to do the same at some point in time through a CD. We request if the same could be done for us as well.

We have taken up the issue with Norton Support through email but they haven't responded even though 6 days have lapsed.

Thanks

@soacelz Following up with the thread to see if we can assist further.

Hello soacelz. Norton activation requires an internet connection to contact the activation services needed to activate your product. Offline activation isn't possible. Since you are constricted by your organizational cyber security policy I would consult with their IT admin for a solution. If this is a device they own, you'd need their permission to install outside software in the first place.
