I recently purchased a new PC with Norton Internet Security (19.2.0.10) installed. It came with a trial for Norton Online Backup which I don't want since I backup to physical media locally. I could stand the messages telling me that I was out of space for the trial; however, the trial is now over and Norton keeps nagging me to pay for it. I can't find how to turn these messages off. Does anyone know how to turn these anoying messages off? I don't mind the "scan completed" messages, but don't want to be constantly marketed to.

Hello,
To remove the Norton Online Backup software from your computer please follow these directions:

Next find Norton Online Backup.
Click Uninstall
Vista/Win 7

I too would like the persistent Backup signup reminders to stop
I tried the NOBU progam uninstall (Samsung CORE i3 laptop, Win 7 Home Premium SP1)
- but it never completes, usually timing out
Nor can I stop the process or service using Task Manager.. permission is refused
What else can I try?
I don't have Norton backup in my Control panel are you sure you are not referring to the Software program of Norton Backup and not the Norton 360 version as I can't stop the large RED alert that I have to log in to use online backup through Norton 360 and I don't want to backup online as I only have a 5GB download/upload Internet plan
Hi
To stop the NOBU subscription alert please remove the Norton Online Backup entry from the startup: Open Run(Win key + r)-> type msconfig -> Startup Tab -> Remove the check mark next to the Norton Online Backup.
Click on setting and then
Click on Administrative settings
Check for an option called Product State monitoring about half way down the list
Click on Configure to the right
Under Miscellaneous un tick Backup box and click on OK then close
This worked for me
