I use Norton 360 on multiple Windows 10 devices. I have turned off "backup" and "backup overlays". Yet, every few days, N360 bugs me with a notice that i don't have enough online storage. Irritating. How do i stop these unnecessary notices?
@Steven Piet:
few Qs here:
1. Have you backed up your system recently? If so, plz go ahead.
(Note: Further actions may require correct login info for your Norton account.)
2. Open the GUI > go to Backup section > check "View Details" first > enter "Manage Backup Sets" > Where -> "Delete Backed up Files (which will be at the bottom left of the screen)".
3. If the above steps did not help U out, if I may ask, are you using Norton Online Backup? If so, please try:
- downloading your backup files first - save or move those items to a non-system disk;
- removing the files from Norton Online Backup - plz hit here and/or here and read related solutions re the deletion of backup set(s).
- removing your computer from your Norton Online Backup account if you do not use that Backup service anymore.
More, this troubleshooting page could also help fix and avoid the said issue you met. E.G.:
Exclude some of the less important files and folders from your backup set.
You can exclude files and folders by deselecting the file categories and manually adding your important files and folders to the backup set.
