My C#/Net Framework application needs to connect to a web-based MySQL database via the default MySQL port 3306. Something has recently changed in Norton 360 that is blocking access to the MySQL database. I tried setting a traffic rule to allow In/Out, TCP and UDP for any computer over Port 3306 (Local and Remote). This does not help. I don't know what has changed in my Norton configuration to block this port. I should mention that when I take my computer to another location and connect through another DSL provider everything works. I usually connect thru Optimum on Line, but their tech people say they are not blocking that port. Any suggestions?
