I am getting the following error with Opera set as the default browser when I do a Check for new version for NIS 2011:

Error: 40181
I spent almost an hour in chart with tech support for this and found out that it is because Opera is set as the default browser, but NIS doesn't recognize it as the default browser. The tech changed it to have IE8 as the default browser and there was no more error. His answer was to set IE8 as the default browser and I hate IE8 as it loads slow on my old system. Every other program I use recognizes Opera as the default browser just fine. Why can't NIS 2011 do the same thing?
