Option "No password needed. Automatically log me in when Windows is started " is not working

I have two computers, both running Windows 7 Home Premium. I am using the following Identity Safe option on both computers:

No password needed. Automatically log me in when Windows is started

On one computer, this option is working properly. After this computer boots, I open a browser and I am already logged in to Identiy Safe. However, on the second computer, after I boot it and open a browser, I am not logged into Identity Safe. Instead, I have to manually enter my Identity Safe password.

I have searched these forums for this problem and I havenot found any other reports of this issue. The closest thing I found was where someone did not have the option to not have to enter the password because they had their logins shared between computers. That is not my issue. I am not sharing logins between computers and the
No password needed. Automatically log me in when Windows is started

option is available in my Identity Safe setings and I have it selected.

Either there is some obscure setting that I have different between my computers or something equally weird is going on between my computers.

I am running Internet Security 2012 (19.2.x.x)

Hi,

If you immediately launch the browser after rebooting the machine or after starting the machine, then your browser may be loaded before the Norton Toolbar is getting fully loaded, hence you may face this issue. When you face this issue can wait for few seconds and launch another instance of the browser and check whether you are logged into Identity Safe or you

remain logged out of Identity Safe.

Please mention OS and browser on which you are facing issue along with their versions.

Thanks for your reply.

As you suggested, I waited for several minutes after rebooting before opening any browsers.I then opened IE (8.0). When I clicked on the Identity Safe icon on Norton Toolbar I still got the 'Login to Identity Safe' prompt. So it doesn't look like the problem is due to opening the browser too quickly. By the way, when does the Norton toolbar load? Does it actually load before any browsers are opened?

In response to your other question,as I indicated in my original post, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on both of my computers. On the computer where I am not getting automatically logged into Indentity Safe, I am running IE 8.0 and Firefox 3.6.25. On the computer where the automatic login to Identity Safe is working, I am running IE 8.0 and Firefox 4.0.1. I wouldn't think the different versions of Firefox should matter because the first browser I open is IE, which is the same version on both computers.

Any other ideas? I would be extremely surprised if I am the only person having this issue, especially the part about it working on one computer and not the other one.

I am having the same problem.  It was working fine and then quit working a couple of weeks ago.  I had changed nothing on my computer.  I thought it was probably an update that must have screwed it up.  I have Norton Internet Security 2012.
