Out of date drivers

Smart scan results show 9 out of date drivers.

Cure takes you to a page that asks me to pay for a programme called "Driver Updater".

Wasn't going to pay, so I checked all 9 drivers that Norton say are out of date manually.

Only one was actually out of date and this I updated from within Device Manager.

Why does 360 for windows do this?

But it is not norton and other driver update program it is the compeny ho send the driver out ther is the problem so to be sure always check the releas date on the driver the problem is when they get the driver ther is the problem from amd nvidia ect

Ok. Thank you for the advice. I’ve got some pretty good backups and I’m comfortable reinstalling the OS and getting things back up to speed if I need to. Somebody has to be guinea pig lol

sounds like its simular to the program updater not the best at being accurate ( found a program i have never had installed for one)

best option for your drivers is to update with windows update ( avanced options in middle) or like dell or hp for example have a updater on there support program or can look on there site for updates

would also depend on the drivers and version and age ( intel i-3 vs intel i-7 or i8 for example)

wouldnt it be swell if all third party drivers were vetted through norton and their source code scrutinized for cybersecurity concerns

All driver update programs should be used with caution. They are both unnecessary and potentially dangerous. You did well to update your driver thru Device Manager using the driver update program as just a scanner and not an updater.

The best approach is to use your PC manufacturer for all driver updates.
