I tried accessing IE8 website, but Parental Control is blocking it. The following provides further information I posted on my earlier Chinese Characters post:
3. I had to restore my computer as there was some nasty virsuses, trojans, malaware on my computer. Would that be a reason why there was a IE6 corruption that Norton had just recently found? BTW, after this IE6 site was blocked by Norton my files scanned dropped by 361K to 340K.
FYI, when my brother gave me this computer, IE6 came with the computer as an OEM.
Parental Control identified the IE6 website as corrupt and blocked it. I had no problem with it blocking that site as I checked under Categories to block this kind of site.
Question 1: Can Parental Control just block the IE6 program and website rather than IE in general?
Now I can't even find out more information on IE8, which I have now. Also, I don't know where to look for this blocked site information on the Add-On Pack. I do want IE6 website blocked, but not IE8 website.
Question 2: Can the virus on the IE6 be able to access the restored to Factory Settings portion of my computer?
