On Norton Password Manager:
- Orange triangle (Chromium browsers like Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge)
→ “Attention / not ready state” - Red dot (on Mozilla Firefox)
→ “Inactive / not signed in / vault locked”
So when you sign out and the orange triangle appears again, that’s expected behavior. It’s essentially telling you:
“The extension is present, but your vault isn’t active.”
Why it feels different between browsers
- Firefox uses a binary indicator (dot = inactive, no dot = active)
- Chromium uses a warning-style badge (triangle = something needs attention)
Functionally, they’re doing the same job—just different UI language.
The triangle does not necessarily mean something is wrong.
It can simply mean:
- You’re signed out
- Vault is locked
- Autofill is unavailable until you interact
