Does orange triangle go away with Sign In + Unlock?
No, it does not go away. It is still there after I logout. I am not using it on those three browsers; I only use the password manager with Firefox.

Does the orange triangle go away with Login + Unlock?
Norton Password Manager is only installed on Firefox?
Where are you seeing the triangle on those three browsers?
Password manager installed on MS Edge, Google Chrome, FireFox, and Norton Browser. I’ve had Manager for years and never before has the icon changed. I don’t know if it safe to use on MS Edge, Google Chrome, and Norton Browser, so I am only accessing it on FireFox.
The icon is visible where it always has been: top right corner in browsers.

On Norton Password Manager:
Orange triangle (Chromium browsers like Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge)
→ “Attention / not ready state ”
Red dot (on Mozilla Firefox)
→ “Inactive / not signed in / vault locked ”
So when you sign out and the orange triangle appears again , that’s expected behavior. It’s essentially telling you:
“The extension is present, but your vault isn’t active.”
Why it feels different between browsers
Firefox uses a binary indicator (dot = inactive, no dot = active)
Chromium uses a warning-style badge (triangle = something needs attention)
Functionally, they’re doing the same job—just different UI language.
The triangle does not necessarily mean something is wrong .
It can simply mean:
You’re signed out
Vault is locked
Autofill is unavailable until you interact
This is how the icon appears on the three browsers in question:
On FireFox it appears as normal with the red dot.

and this is Chrome – Sign In + Unlock
Is this new? It’s been happening for a week now and never before. How do I restore to the red dot as the warning triangle is not going away.

Compare Chrome/Edge – Norton Password Manager version # and update date.
I’ll imagine they’re not the same as Firefox.
