Password Manager not working

I have been a subscriber to Norton 360 for over a year and have been happy with the results.  When I renewed my subscription for 2 years, the Norton Utilities downloaded along with the 360.  Since then, my password manager in Norton SafeWeb has not been working.  l’ve been searching for a way solve the issue with no results.  Everytime I go to customer service, I get lost.  Please advise a solution.

Do you have a back-up of your passwords? (There's an option for this in the Identity Safe settings)

If no, try to create a back-up of it first, then follow the next part's steps:

1. Open 360 main window

2. Go to Settings

3. Go to Identity Settings

4. Under Identity Safe find back-up

5. Click on Configure[+]

6. Browse where you want to save the file, and add a password

7. Click OK

8. Wait until confirmation dialog comes

9. Close 360

 

If yes, try to create a new Identity Safe profile:

1. Open your browser

2. Click on the Cards and logins button on the toolbar for login

3. Write WRONG password in until it tells you that you reached the limit (it will be 3 or 5)

4. Follow the instructions for purging your actual IS profile

5. Create new one

6. Restore IS data

If Edge is the only browser you use I would repair it and uninstall the extension. Then go ahead after the repair and install the extension again.

If you use other browsers also you may have to uninstall them and them reinstall.

FWIW!! Opera GX uses Chrome extensions directly from the Chrome extensions store. They worked until the .69 version before the current version of Norton 360 was released. The PWM as stated prior DO NOT auto-fill on ANY of the three browsers on my device. Opera not officially being supported isn't the issue, non-functionality is the point we are trying to make.

Norton Password Manager looks for login fields embedded in web page. This detection is further used to auto fill provided a login is saved in vault. During first login attempt to a web page, when user enter login credentials, vault offers to save the login. Upon successful save, every subsequent visit to the web page, vault offers to auto fill.

Thank you for the inputs as I see a need to add the first hand usage guide, post configuration of vault. 

Note: Opera browser is not officially supported. We can add extension though there is no functionality test done for Opera browser. 

 

 

 

 

I have the same problem  on windows 10 and EDGE 

Do you put the sites into the vault first  or do you go on a site and let the vault ask you to let them save it also do you have to have the vault open all the time.

Not very clear any were has to how this works  I have been on this for days now and cannot figure it out very frustrating.

All: The PWM does NOT auto-fill on ANY SITES on my end, on Edge Chromium, Opera GX w/Chrome extensions (my default browser), nor IE-11. I don't use FF therefore cannot vouch for it. This has been the case for weeks on end. Just an FYI!!

I have only put a few in my vault to start with the other two work. A couple more questions:

Do I need to close my vault after I use it for security purposes?

Is there an online guide somewhere for this program. Norton is not very clear in their download.

Do I need to manually update anything?

Is this auto-fill issue limited to one website or you have more than one website impacted? Could you please share all the web URLs for which autofill is not working. 

Regarding the blank page after clicking on 'open vault' on My Norton dashboard, I am able to reproduce this and reported this for further check and fix.
