I have Norton Password Manager installed on my laptop, mobile, and PC.
Upon returning from holiday I discovered that all the notes in my Norton Password Manager now had been locked !! (the laptop, mobile, and PC.were all turned off whilst we were away) I tried everything to resolve the problem with no joy so ended up having to start up all over again.
I’m now finding that once again random entries I had used the previous day have now been locked and can’t be accessed, I have no idea how but it only appears to happen overnight, the password that’s been applied isn’t any I’ve used recently.
I’ve been using NPM for years with no problems but now I’ve lost all confidence with it, does anyone have any ideas as to what could possibly be causing it??

@oneasygeezer Good morning!! May we ask:
-What version and build is your OS?
-Have you received or seen any notifications that your vault password was reset?
-What browser are you using? Does this happen when using a secondary browser?
-What the current version of password manager is installed? The latest version for Windows is Version 8.3.0.1355
To reset your vault password follow this article: PLEASE NOTE: Write down and store your new password in a place others DO NOT have access to.
Things to check for vault issues: Try signing out and back into the vault. Also check vault access recovery.

All 3 devices are running Firefox ver.150.0 (64-bit)
Norton Password Manager ver. Version 8.2.5.1175 I’ve tried updating to the latest ver.
8.3.0.1355 but it returns “no updates found”.
Strangely enough the password manager closed down for no reason whilst I was answering your response and then wouldn’t accept the password I logged in with this morning!! after a 15min break and a lot of head scratching I input the password I used this morning which was the same one that it rejected and it was now accepted???
Weird stuff indeed. But yes, the latest version for PWM on FF is 8.2.5.1175 as you suggested. Version 8.3.0.1355 is evidently Windows and/or Chromium specific.

Just a thought how does the sync work, as I’ve got PWM on all 3 devices, the one on my mobile is always on but the other 2 are usually off is there the possibility of sync getting confused when one of the other devices come online??
Yes!! When devices that haven’t been used for a while come online the PWM can synch and update every device with it installed to have the same vault information. For instance, I’ve been putting off Windows Updates on my personal HP Windows 11 Pro laptop for some time due to the sloppy bugs that were introduced. Next time its online my vault will automatically sync to reflect my daily use PC and mobile devices.. hope that helps.
