Thanks but info page update does not help me.  I still have not received link to the patch/update and Live Update is not receiving the new program. The patch purports to address many of the problems I have been having (after installing Windows 8) and with which Norton support has been unable to help.  All support could provide was the usual and usually false  panacea of remove and reinstall, which didn't work. From what I could tell, support was unaware of or unwilling to provide 20.3.  My subscription is up in 9 days and I may try Trend Micro.

In that case, is there any way to manually obtain the required update?  NIS is freezing my computer about 2-3 times a day; it stops autoscanning; it inititiates manual scans and then hangs; hanging scans cannot be terminated; it prevents Windows 8 shut down, etc., etc.   

 

I have written several notes to you requesting the file information  (which you have removed from this thread), so that I can download the correct file.  The link you sent to me is out of date.

I sent Tony a PM and he sent me a link where I get the message:-

Liveupdate is also not downloading the update.

The notice of the 20.3 update has not been updated by Tony yet - thus it appears the full release to all has not occurred.  I am sure Tony (or someone) will edit/update the relaease notice to let eveyone know it is available.

Finally received 20.3 through LiveUpdate and I am pleased to report that, at the moment, it appears to have resolved the multiple problems I was having with NIS playing nice with Windows 8.  Sooner would have been better, but thanks to the Norton team for the fix.

Same here. Running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. Finally NSI updated to the latest patch and, so far, all is smooth. I had a problem with Outlook 365 hanging on occasion when receiving mail; then, when I try to reboot, it would hang again. Hasn't happened since the update, knock on wood. Norton anti-spam now integrated. Lookin' good!
