Hi and thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to advise me of here.Currently I Have installed PCAywhere 12.1 on my Office PC. I am wanting to use it as a Host. I recently had to purchace a new computer for the office to handle this job. The previous was an XP Machine and we used 11.5 version of PCA and it worked fine. With the new Vista series however I have tried to connect to the host from two different laptops, and havent been able to even connect. The Ports are forwarded the same, as there was no need to change them in my Linksys BEFSR81 V3. I have set up the Host side as was instructed, but still am having no luck. Is there something I am missing? I know the netbios isnt working and that is not checked. Am getting rather frustrated over this as I am unable to do any file exchanges with the office person while I am in the field. thanks again for any assistance you may be able to provide.

Still as of yet have had no solutions to this, nor have I been able to get this to work outside the office. Is this something that they would be able to address should I call technical support? Or will I be wasting money by them telling me they have no support of the Router or computers in my office? Thank you again in advance for any help you may be able to offer.
Eric
Have you updated the clients to 12.1 as well or are they still on 11.5? I'm assuming that you made no firewall changes as well (good that you noted the port forwarding as that's usually the first thing to check).
Basically it is waiting for connection for a min or so and says
Communications error..
Unable to attach to specified device
now I would also point out that when I am in the office and do quick connect over netwrok it pops up and everything works fine.... just not when I am out of the office..
