PC can't recognize USB devices i.e. MP3 Players or flash drives

After installing NIS 2010, PC does not see USB devices . Running Win XP.Setup problem? Any ideas would be appreciated . Thanks

The problem was Norton disabled the devices. I went to control panel , then to device manager and reloaded the drivers for the MP3 players and it finally recognized the players. This happened on my laptop also.
