PC unresponsive during Norton 360 Full System Scan

Hello,

When I run Norton 360 Full System Scan on my HP desktop (Intel Core i9-10920X, 32GB RAM) the system becomes very unresponsive. Even ctrl-alt-delete takes about a minute to respond.

The HP desktop has HP Wolf Security pre-installed by default. I thought HP Wolf Security and Norton were conflicting, so I disabled HP Wolf Security before starting the Full System Scan. It didn't solve the responsiveness issue.

Does anyone know a solution? Should I exclude things on the HP Wolf Security or Norton 360 side?

Thanks in advance!

If you have a hard disk drive that will cause other programs to wait for the drive to spin.

I would go into settings and shut off compressed files scans. Also, I would completely uninstall your other security program.
