People oustide of U.S. not getting all the new features in the new update?

Hi All,

I did a manual update to the new version of my Norton Security, to V.22.21.1.151 and all went well and installed without issue.

Having read a few days ago that the 'Smart Scan' feature is currently only available in the U.S. I was wondering if anyone out there knows when, or if at all it is to be made available to everyone else outside of the USA?

Now I have had a good read around and cannot find anything pertaining to this so maybe someone on these forums knows something!

Hi All,

Thought I'd update this thread as I have just noticed I have the new 'Smart scan' feature applied to my UI? I haven't had a play with it yet as its getting a bit late, but will try it out tomorrow.

From the product update announcement....

 

Please note:

  • Norton 22.21.1 supports: Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10
  • Norton 22.21.1 targets versions 22.20.5.39 & 22.20.5.40
  • This update is not available for maintenance mode OSes (Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 with no service pack) 
  • Some features won't be available for all regions.
  • The features will be released in a throttled manner.

We will have to wait to see.

Norton Security was listed with the other versions too, so it would appear that it is inclusive. It will be interesting to see what develops in the near future.

I've not received "Smart Scan" in U.S. at this time.

If you are still on Norton Security, some of those features may never get to you. They may only get sent to the new 360 products.We will have to wait to find out.

As for when, these phased releases usually wait for the telemetry of the initial release.
