I have Norton 360 v. 22.20.5.39 on my Windows 10 and use Edge. I looked at the Norton window's "Performance->Graphs" and noticed several Performance Alerts i.e triangle icons with the number of alerts shown above them. Passing the cursor over one showed the date e.g. today's "12/11/20 number of alerts" and "view details". Clicking on "view details" took me to "Security History" and "Performance Alerts" which showed 6 pages of Performance Alerts the very latest being 15/8/20 and the earliest being 18/10/19 around the time I bought the computer. Nothing shows later than 15/8/20. I don't wish to play around with it before seeking advice. Is it a space problem and will "Clear Entries" do anything?
Thank you imacri,
I cleared entries but had to wait for another Performance Alert "triangle icon" to appear in the graph. I clicked "view details" and lo and behold the details appeared in Security History. I am grateful for your knowledge and expertise which has assisted me several times in the past
Hi imbart:
I'd suggest you go ahead and clear the entries for the Performance Alerts section of your security history and see if logging starts again. From my 17-Apr-2018 post in Intrusion Prevention is Not Enabled:
... If your IPSDefs folder shows that you have the latest 20180413.061 IPS Defs but the Intrusion Prevention section of your Security History reports you are using an older definition set try clicking the Clear Entries button, re-boot, and monitor the entries in your history. I've noticed that the entries in Antiphishing, Intrusion Protection, and certain sections of my security history sometimes stop logging after a maximum number of entries is reached (e.g., 10 pages, 20 pages, etc.) and I need to clear the entries to get newer entries logging again.
To clarify the above. My Performance Alert setting is set to "log only" in Administrative Settings and it is not logging and has not logged any details in Security History since 15th August 2020. Any suggestions?
