I Have very recently received now 2 phishing emails purporting to be from Norton LifeLock about N360 subscription renewal which on closer inspection are clearly fraudulent because there are things like the odd spelling error/date being incorrect in the email and opening up of a web link to a “Chat/virtual assistant” using Livechat ready to take card details that has no direct link/connection to the REAL Symantec website.
(And we know here that unless we opt out of it in our online accounts subscription renewal when actually due is automatically charged to our cards.)
While this I believe has been discussed here before there are still issues that need addressed as even getting these in the inbox is concerning.

How are they even getting our email addresses to even suspect we are N360 customers, or suspect/know anything about the current length of our subscriptions, unless there’s been a Symantec security breach? The irony also being N360 is supposed to look for phishing emails and monitor dark web activity.
2. Why aren’t such emails being detected in any event as phishing by N360 itself?
3 Why isn’t Symantec itself not warning about phishing “Symantec” emails that aren’t legitimately there’s online and in its own REAL emails?
