Please be sure that you have applied all the updates to Norton 360 v2, then launch Firefox 3. An update was created for the Firefox 3 release that may not have been applied before you ran Firefox 3. What is the exact version of Norton 360 v2 that you are running? Also, which operating system are you using? Any of this information would be helpful in determining the cause of the problem. Thanks!

Yeh i applied all the updates to Norton 360 v2. I am using xp professional service pack 2. A norton support person looked at the issue and he told me 1 of the causes. It turns out the toolbar conflicts with piclens. It has fixed the problem but it still occurs sometimes. It might just be another clash with an add-on.
