Hello everyone

I am new to this forum so if I do summat wrong please guide me thank you

I am experiencing a problem with windows live messenger and I think it could be summat to do with norton.

when I log on to messenger all is well but when I try to either open a conversation or someone to tries to with me

then messenger crashes with a message saying windows live messenger has stopped working windows will

close the programme and will notify you if a solution is available.well they haven't notified me yet

Has this happened to you and are there any issues using Norton and messenger.

I am running windows vista home premium uk english version

windows messenger 8.5 full version not beta.

the computer  2gb of memory

if you have any idea i would be greatfull for you help

many thanks

have you tried uninstalling live messenger and re-installing? There was a problem with XP SP3 and Vista SP1 with regards to conflicts with live services, but re-installing usually did the trick. As far as I’m aware this isn’t a problem with Norton. Have you got Vista SP1 on your computer? If Windows update is enabled, you probably will have!
