Yesterday I had to do a System Restore because my computer froze up (stopped working, however you describe it -- I'm sorry, I'm not very computer savy). So I restored to the morning before. Everything then appeared to be o.k. except that I then got a message that my computer was unprotected (don't know why b/c my computer was completely fine as of the restore date but anyway...) So I went into Norton and clicked on what I needed to to "Fix" and "Live Update" and now it indicates that I'm completely protected. But now, this weird message keeps popping up from Microsoft about once every hour or so that states as follows: "Symantec error reporting stopped working and was closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available." I close the window and just keep going and it will reappear in the task bar at the bottom of my computer maybe an hour or so later. I don't have any idea how to make it stop or whether I should even be concerned about this since, as I stated, Norton indicates I am "System Status: Secure" and everything appears to be working o.k., i.e., live updates working o.k., and everything seems to be turned on. Any advice and please try to keep it simple. I've gotten better after several crashes over the past several years but I'm just not tech savy. Thank you very much. Oh, I'm using Vista 32, Internet IE.
