Please help! Unknown "user logged in"?

Hello. Earlier today I noticed some activity in NIS history and Microsoft's event viewer. It seems that there was an instance where someone was logged on for a little over an hour and a half on my profile. But I wasn't on the computer around that time and I don't believe anyone else was either. Is this cause for concern, like an infection or something? Thanks.

Yeah. Me and my family all use norton toolbar. I don’t think we own any other norton product that’d have access to our account. Why?

I was just thinking that perhaps a family member had logged into ID safe with your Norton account but that wouldn't show up on the event viewer unless someone also could access the computer remotely.

Ok. I suppose it’s possible I may’ve been logged on accidentally. I haven’t noticed any suspicious behavior since then. I’m not very tech savvy with this kind of thing, but is it even possible for a virus infection or something similar to log someone on behind the scenes?

Only a known user can access to your norton account. if you need some support regarding this you get support from the norton chat support team at an time.

Ok, I think it happened again. This time only for a few minutes. This is starting to freak me out. There's an entry of my account being logged on on NIS and event viewer, but I wasn't on it around that time. Also, my calendar on the upper-right portion of my screen was open and the resolution was off by a little bit.

Is there any way someone outside of the family could have access to my Windows user account and if so, how do I stop it?

Ok, sorry. Turns out this recent thing was nothing. One of my family members was fiddling around and trying to alter the screen resolution and my account was logged on in the process.

Hey, better it should be this than something bad. : )

Glad that it turned out to be a family member rather than it being someone hacking into your account.
