Please read: Norton Security/Norton Internet Security crashes

 

If you have been having problems with Norton Internet Security or Norton Security crashing your Mac (resulting in a "You must restart your Mac" message) then please contact me privately here on the forums.

We have tested a fix to the problem, and we believe it should fix the issue. However we haven't had much luck in reproducing the problem locally. It seems to be related to streaming certain kinds of media files.

For those of you have can still reproduce the issue (and I sincerely apologize), I can give you a "hotfix" that you can apply locally to see if it will fix the issue for you. We'll release a permanent fix hopefully in the coming weeks after getting confirmation that the problem is resolved.
