I am a new user. I have a question. I allow a certain number of internet use hours on my son's computer and I have also enabled time block. If my son has NOT reached his max hours but has reached his cutoff time, which will supercede. Will he be allowed to stay on for the remaining hours or will the internet cut off:
Also, the safety minder has been disabled email alert almost gave me a heart attack. After reading the forum, it is clear if the computer is idle for some time and then restarted, the alert email will be sent. I am safely assuming
I have only installed Norton on my boys' computers about one week ago. I have rec'd an email alert at least 5 times saying " Hi Mom, Norton safety minder on Tyler used by Tyler has been disabled" It then says "go to your child's computer and restart." This is very fustrating to me. It gets me too nervous. I want a dependable parental control. I wouldn't even consider upgrading if this is a known issue. Surely, your technicians can correct this issue. It seems like many parents are having the same problem when I go to the forum. What do you suggest and does this happen on the paid (upgraded) version? Thank you for your response.
Hi gcapps,
Thanks for the reply. Please give non-administrative rights (limited or restricted) to your children’s user accounts and keep the password of your Norton Online Family account away from them. Otherwise, they'd have the ability to tamper the program.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks,
Katie
