PLS FIX! I'm LOCKED OUT Using Tamper Protection

I Have locked my self out using Tamper protection because I cannot Type the password I’ve been using for years quick enough, nor can I paste it in from my vault.

if I knew I was only going to have only 60 seconds in the first place, and that I can’t even run live update manually for some ridiculous reason wouldn’t of used it, previous version worked great

Have you tried Reset to Default?
Settings → Troubleshooting → Reset to Default
as test: Reset to Default cleared settings password

Hi bjm, that’s the problem I can’t get into settings to make any changes at all because I can’t input the Tamper Lock password running Norton 360 Advanced.

Hmm…I created password as test. I’m able to set to Reset to Default. head scratch…

Edit: my initial v24 Create Password test was lacking due to user error. I neglected to cycle v24 UI.

my v24 has Product Tamper Protection. I’m unsure what you mean by Tamper Lock password.

from this distance…I’d say run NRnR…just that last time I ran NRnR…most of my settings were retained. Note: as that time running NRnR tool…I was not behind Settings password.

Edit: Okay…you’re right. I tested Create Password, again…once password is set…with v24 UI cycle. Then calling Settings gets prompt for password.

Well, v22 required NRnR to clear setting password.

It did cross my mind…at the time…that Reset to Default was too easy to bypass password.
Note: my D’oh! moments are increasing in frequency and duration.
