I am alone. I need a pornography blocker that can also be my trusted friend. Is this software programmed to do this?
If you are alone with no one looking over your shoulder, there is no software solution to block you. If you installed one, you would also be able to uninstall/disable that software.
Using the filtered DNS solution will stop any sites 'accidentally' popping up if that is what you are worried about. But again, if you have no one looking after you, you would also be able to revert to your original DNS settings to get around the filtering.
Thank you for this advice. It does not solve my problem as I am alone. I don't need to control someone else. I need software that offers control over myself
No. You will need to use a DNS service that provides family protection filtering to block adult content.
I use the free OpenDNS with the Family Shield level of protection to keep my grandchildren from accessing sites they should not.
There are others if you search for "DNS filtering".
