This is kinda strange but when I set up port forwarding on Norton IS 2014 for an online golf game it disappears the next day but another setup doesn't (GameRanger - has only one UDP setting). It doesn't disappear. I tried rebooting right after putting in the ports but it's ok - it seems to happen on the next day's boot up (I don't leave on all the time). This never happened before although I have a "new" Norton IS (2014). I had 2012 and all fine there. Could it be something in 2014 that I need to set? (I should've stayed with 2012 but that's another story :). Have a Vista64. For the record here's my procedure: Settings - Network - Smart firewall - Program Rules (configure) - Click on program (Links in this case) - Modify - Communications(to set ports - 5 in this case) - Only the computer listed below - Add - and I add them either in a range or individually - UDP/TCP and tic "Rule will apply.... - Add ports - OK out. The program rules now change to Custom Access from Allow Access. Now am I missing something? Hope didn't bore you guys. Thanks.
