Here is the Sysprot log you requested. I had to reboot my system to complete installation of some updates and after the reboot NIS 2010 Beta (I know it was finalized; I found out when logged in), Ad-Aware 2010 Beta (which is now fully compatible with NIS 2010 Beta), Spybot Search & Destroy, and Windows Defender each found different variant of Spyware.Perfect on my system and cleaned it. I had zero interference among the programs. Ad-Aware has detected and removed Trojan.W32/Generic from my system but none of the other security programs even detected it and all of them are fully operational.
I did not have the real time scanners running until a recent reboot; and only after Ad-Aware, Spybot, and Windows Defender did their cleanup did Norton detect a different variant from the other three variants that were found and cleaned. I do however believe I must also recommend checking out PCW’s article “Coordinated Malware Resists Eradication” for some insight. I have had very bad attacks from WalMart and that is why I have so much security. I do not intend to make anyone mad I just want you to know where I am coming from. Ad-Aware has blocked to IP addresses and I have yet to see new malware infestations; I just hope I don’t have any more on my system.
Having more than one Real-Time Protection software installed will most of the time cause conflicts, as many programs will fight over who is in charge and will spend more time fighting than actually doing their job, even if they focus on different types of protection.
I also see that you still have the beta 2010 installed. You should remove this and install the full final release.
It appears as though Norton has already removed. I would keep one real-time protection software running. You can have the other software installed as well, but they should not be set to real-time. You should only have them run manually.
I have a Norton Internet Security 2009 license that is good until November 25, 2009. But when I run the AutoDetect Package to download the GA copy, it says I am not eligible. How do I get this to work! I was using the Beta.
