Possible Virus?

Hey Guys

 

I got the 8504,4 error message - not exactly sure why. It was just out of the blue. I transferred an old game to a friend's pc, which said it had a virus in it - I checked this at VirusTotal and it isn't. I'm sure of that, but regardless, here is my HJT log, and any advice would be great :-) THanks guys :-)

And your SAS scan came up clean?  You mave have something but it really is not clear on the HJT log.  Can you run a RootRepeal and Gmer scans just to be sure?

 

 RootRepeal:

 

1. Download to your Desktop "RootRepeal.exe" from http://homepages.slingshot.co.nz/~crutches/RootRepel/

2. Start it, Click on the "Report" Tab

3. Select (tick) in the box that appears "Drivers", "Stealth Objects" and "Hidden Services" and click OK

4. After it scans click "Save Report" and save the txt file; use notepad to copy the info down and save the log file.

 

GMER:

 

http://www.gmer.net/ and "Scan" then "Save" the log.

 

If these show anything, Quads or someone will get with you here on where to post the logs for review.  They will most likely be too big for posting here.

Quads, I take it the Gmer and RootRepeal logs showed up clean? :-) I have to be sure, because we occasionally use this pc for banking :-)
