Hello All,
I was hoping the NAV would be able to root out a virus on Windows Vista however it has only made the symptoms less severe. Not too long ago I was infected with the antimalware doctor which redirected my browser and had annoying popups. I downloaded the malwarebytes program which seemed to get rid of that aspect of the virus however I was still getting the browser redirects and even worse my svchost has been taking up a large proportion of my resources.
I downloaded Norton Antivirus 2011 and it's seemed to help somewhat.
Norton has blocked some of the redirects however I get popups saying that svchost was blocked trying to connect to the internet or using high levels of resources... Worst case is that the svchost now causes windows explorer to encounter an unknown error.
I've ran NAV full scans twice one with a regular startup and another in safemode. The first run found something however it didn't seem to get rid of everything.
Thank you for the help. Let me know if I can provide any more information that would be helpful.
Best Regards,
Connor
