Is there a power eraser for Mac?

There is no Power Eraser for Mac currently.

 

I'm not sure what would cause this, does the progress bar get stuck?

If you can follow the directions from this link and attach the SymantecInfo.txt file here, that may indicate if NAV is having some problem.

Another option is to disable scanning of compressed files, which should improve scan speed.
