Power Plan is constantly overridden

Norton is constantly changing my power plan to it's default. This is not what I want. Each time I edit the power plan it reverts back to what Norton thinks is right. How to I stop this changing?

@radioman54 Could you please mark the suggestion that was your solution so others with an issue similar or like yours can view the solution? Much appreciated in advance.

Sorry, I thought I had replied that it worked.

@radioman54 Following up with the thread to ask if we can assist further.

Then just uncheck the Switch Processor settings for peak performance setting and test.

I uninstalled NUU, rebooted and reinstalled NUU. The drop down box now appears. I chose the option I wanted but this morning after I started my system it was back to the default that had been overriding my choice. Why can't NUU just stay out of it all together? I know what I want my power plan to be so it should just leave it alone.

Maybe time to reinstall your NUU as that feature does not seem to be working.  Uninstall NUU, then restart your computer. Then log into your Norton Account and click on the user icon at the top right and click on Manage My Subscriptions. Find your NUU subscription and click on the Download button. Once set up check to see if the drop down menu works correctly.

Yes, it is checked.

Do you have the check mark beside the Switch Processor settings for peak performance?

My account is an admin account (it's the only account) on my desktop. I can't click on the down arrow as it's grayed out. There's nothing there.

Did you click on the down arrow to the right of the down arrow?

Are you using a Windows Admin account, or did you enter your admin credentials in the User Account Control dialog when opening NUU?

I tried that before I posted my question but there is no drop down list to choose from. Everything is checked as indicated in your posted image but there's nothing in the drop down.

Do you have Norton Utilities Ultimate, NUU, installed? If so, look under Real Time Status and click on the Configuration tab. Manually choose the Power Optimizer Modes from the drop down list by clicking on the down arrow. Choose the mode you wish to keep using.
