Printer is online & connected, but won't print

I've been having an issue with my printer not connecting with my laptop recently. It'll be online, but not connected to my laptop. I usually have to reset it and then it goes offline and after numerous attempts, it'll finally come online and re-connect. It's maddening. I hate printers and they hate me.

Yesterday I was printing fine, but now my laptop can't find the printer despite it saying it's online and connected and I just keep getting "error printing" when I try to print.

I'm getting super frustrated and I really need to be able to print. I have no idea where the USB cable is, so I'm kind of stuck trying that route.

I'm wondering if Norton's firewall is blocking it for some reason. How do I find out if Norton's firewall is blocking my printer and if it is, how do I get it to let it through?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Next time the printer will not work, you can check to see if the Norton firewall is affecting the connection by right clicking the Norton icon in the system tray, and clicking on Disable Smart Firewall.  Then test the printer connection.

Wireless. No, I have not turned on any VPN

How is your printer connected to your computer?

Do you have the VPN feature turned on in 360? If so, try turning it off and see if you can print.
