I cannot print to my local network printer with Norton's VPN running. In order to print, I must first disconnect the VPN, then print, then reconnect the VPN. It did not do that to start with but does not. When I have a heavy day of printing, I find myself leaving the VPN turned off an awful lot of time.
Only WIth VPN off can Settings access Network.
Turned off VPN, selected printer, but it won't let me check OK. It is grayed out.
OK, folkses. I tried the thing with my printer's .exe file, but that made absolutely no difference. I still cannot print. The message I get is "couldn't find the printer on the network"...
You're most welcome!! Glad we could help.

You should have shortcuts on your desktop from the printer software that was installed with the printer. Right mouse click the shortcut that provides printing, click open file location and copy/paste that file into the VPN app exclusion.

So, how do I find the "Printer File" to allow it? I have an HP printer I can't find the file that says "Print.exe" or anything in the neighborhood.
Others here have reported that they were successful by doing the following:
1/ Uninstall all printer software, drivers, etc.
2/ Restart PC
3/ Turn on VPN
4/ Install all printer software, drivers, etc.
5/ Restart PC
6/ Turn on VPN
See if you can print successfully now with VPN on.
Hello. Have you enabled "split tunneling" on the VPN and added the program for the printer to the list there?
