When I download files from my financial institutions for Quicken, the files will no longer automatically execute into Quicken as they did with the Chrome browser. Is there a setting in Norton Private Browser which prevents (or will allow) downloaded files to execute automatically as they do in other browsers? Specifically, these are .QFX files for Quicken. I am using W10 on a desktop computer.
As an update, I did get a response quickly on social media, but after spending about 45 minutes with them, they told me that they couldn't answer my question and that I had to call their "dedicated frontline team" to get answer.
Thank you. I'm giving it a try on Facebook now.
Jerry-the-Goz:Thank you again for the response. Unfortunately, I have spent hours attempting to contact them online and via chat. Trying to speak to a live person is very frustrating.
I've waited 35 minutes for support via chat. Earlier today, I waited 2 minutes for support via social media. Have you tried support via social media?

Thank you for your response. It would be highly helpful if a Norton tech person would monitor and respond to this.
That is a feature I found missing when I moved to the Brave browser. There is a setting in Chrome to allow automatically open downloaded file types. This 'omission' in a security conscious browser is a security feature to block possibly malicious downloaded files from running automatically and damaging your system.
