Repeatedly told that Norton Private Browser is out of date but after 3 repeated attempts to update it is still repeating need to update. It’s driving me mad. Anyone got any ideas of what is wrong and how to stopit?

I had the same problem. I’m sure you’ve got it straightened out by now. I uninstalled the old browser and installed the new browser.
I have the same problem on 2 maschines. Uninstalling the old brwoser was not helpful. repairing the installation also not helpful. Any ideas?

i have reset settings, i try to install over the old version, i have removed the old version and installed it freshly and i do not use VPN. In all this cases the NPB say i should made an update. This is frustrating.

with NPB uninstall…did you also remove NPB profile for a clean/er NPB install?
I think NPB works like Chrome…meaning NPB uninstall leaves NPB profile.

Encountered the same issue. uninstalled, installed multiple times. Fix that worked for me…hit the three dots on the right side. Go to settings, click on “About Norton Private Browser” at the bottom. It updated mine and solved the issue.

how else might you invoke browser update?
Settings → About → updating → Relaunch … is normal
