Had office computer infected with Spyware Guard Malware in December. Ran updated Norton and it identified it and tried to remove it but when I rebooted it came back. Tried this several times and hen ran Maleware Bytes first (2 times) and then Super Antispyware (2 times) and was able to completely remove it and computer is now running fine with one small problem.
Ocassionaly I get a yellow bubble on the lower right of screen saying to the effect that Norton Antivirus is not turned on. When I open the Norton program all is "green" and shows auto screening/update is on. Updates appear current.
Any ideas why bubble is still saying Antivirus is off?? Any ideas on how to fix???
I am at home on different computer today but will be back at office tomorrow to do more testing.
I was able to solve this problem thanks to a lot of the ideas from this group. Thanks to all who offered suggestions in December.
