I have been running Ghost for some while and love it. I had to remove and reinstall it on my laptop due to an unrelated corruption to my Norton Firewall and it reinstalled the version on the disk (i.e. 9.0.0). The version I used prior to uninstalling was 9.0.2, which was updated by LiveUpdate back in 2006. Problem is that I cannot make LiveUpdate update Ghost this time. I need it because 9.0.2 was much more stable and does not do a nasty thing where you can only backup with Ghost when using full compression when operating under XP SP2/3 (which takes ages). This does not happen with 9.0.2, which allows standard compression (much faster!).
I have read around Google and at the suggestion of one board deleted the 2006 Ghost 9.0.2 update files from the LiveUpdate downloads directory in C:\All Users\Local Settings\Symantec\LiveUpdate etc., but LiveUpdate does not seem to want to update Ghost, saying it is up to date.
Can anyone help me do the update again please?
Many thanks,
Breenie
