Problem with renewing norton security/antivirus

I was 4 weeks late in renewing my norton security/antivirus software.

 

I have today responded to the latest expiry reminder email and paid the 39.99 pounds to get the norton security/anti virus 2011 software.

 

I have received the confirmation email for my order, i have downloaded using the "start download" button in the download window.

 

it succesfully downloaded but didnt install automatically and i didnt have any icon on my desptop, but when i click the norton download files icon i ran the .exe file inside this folder to install, which correctky removed the 2010 version and installed the 2011 version and i restarted the pc when requested and it successfully afterwards updated to the latest version.

 

however, when i get the status of my norton it still says that my subscription has expired despite the confrimation email accepting the payment for my order, why is this and i dont know if it protecting me or not, even though i have paid.

 

can anyone telll me how to get the norton to accept that i have paid and update my subscription status?
