Problems installing 360 on macbook, installer file download not working

Hi, I'm having issues installing Norton 360 on a macbook - High Sierra Ver.10.13.6 - I've un-installed the previous AV software, Sophos and Malwarebytes, but after downloading the necessary, a message pops up that I need to download an install helper file, I put in my password to enable this, but the next page opens saying the install failed.

I previously had the Norton VPN from Norton Security Deluxe running with Malwarebytes and it worked fine , but moving to 360 its all in one package - but still ought to be OK? no other AV products installed now. Work insists I have Cisco VPN loaded.

This worked first time on a windows 10 machine.  Is this a known issue or maybe just me....

Thanks for the details provided, @KR20. Please provide below requested details for further investigation.

Hello

After downloading Norton and pressing to install, the program runs until it asks to install the Install Helper - so I type in the password and the next screen is the install failed screen attached.

On that screen is a link to the support documents, and "Support solution screen 1" attached is the landing page. Step 1 is on "Support solution screen 2" attached, and directs to the disc utility. I follow the instructions but I have only a "First Aid button to press, not "Repair Disc Permissions" as the Step1.4 suggests. I press "First Aid" and continue.

On "Support Solution Screen 2" attached I work through till Step 2.7, but the helper doesn't install and I'm back to the "Install failed" screen.

When I do this I don't get the "Some system software was blocked from loading" message to respond to.

I have admin rights on the machine.

I really don't want to have to go through this time consuming experimentation especially having read the other comments on this forum about installing on a MacBook - like others I expect to be able to install and forget otherwise the software isn't fit for purpose. I upgraded to 360 Premium for more installs but that looks like it won't be needed if this continues.

Hi @KR20,

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums. Can you please try steps provide below Norton Support article and let us know installation status. Also, please provide us with install failure message/image for further investigation.
