I’m having this problem, but we all know that this is a sales tactic that Avast also uses. I didn’t know Norton did the same. How do I remove this information, which is very bad for my experience using the antivirus?
Does anyone know how to do it? ![]()

Unfortunately there is no way to stop these hard coded ads that the Norton marketing people are insisting on including in their subscription based products. As you note, Avast may also do this, and there may be others.
As these messages are generic, they do not indicate any actual issues with your computer. Just ignore them.
I hate to think how many thousands of Norton’s customers get fooled by this and end up paying more for software they don’t need.
Most won’t ever read forums like these. It seems the likes of Norton are just preying on their tech-savvy users.
