Program Execution Restriction

Hello,

I read in the German "c't" magazine about an application they programmed called "Restric'tor".
This application forbids the execution of all other applications except the applications in the Windows Directory and the Program Directory (I don't want to get too much into details here, they use the Windows internal "Software Restriction Policies" and make them available for all users).

I discussed with an colleague of mine and he told me that his security suite (Bitdefender) has this feature implemented.
Means: no application can be executed except he allows it.
So when he starts an application or game the first time, then he has to confirm this.
After that the application (the hash) is added to a white list.

In my opinion such an feature would be very cool for Norton.
In any malicious application is trying to infect the system then this mechanism warns the user (this increases in my opinion the security level).

Is such a feature planned?

Regards
