I am unsure as to how NIS 2014 protects me from installing spy- or malware included Firefox add-ons.
Contrary to the 'usual files' (.exe), that can be checked manually, or even, on top, run thru Virustotal, add-ons are installed 'on the fly' and users may not know what is happening in the background.
There are a number of articles on Internet about this subject, e.g. on Techrepublic and howtogeek.
I am definitely not an expert, but these (and more) articles do give me the feeling that there is not much protection against it.
It is fine to read the usercomments, but I donot want to depend only depend on them.
Thanks
