Protection Report not responding

I have just received this notification Protection Report has arrived but the device security part does not load. I sat there for 1 hour waiting. I assume this is because I installed Norton 360 last week. But then again with all these issues with version 25 who knows?

Product & version number: 25.1.9816 (build 25.1.9816.914)

OS details: Win 11 Pro 24H2

This is inside the app I waited at this screen for 2 hours.

I am now logged into the website and I have clicked on Protection Report for the PC I am using
I sat here for another hour

Here are all the other accounts that don’t work.

All these accounts were freshly installed 2 weeks ago. (except for the phone)

Funnily enough my Phone works as its not been freshly installed in years.

If I close this report and go back to Norton it is still there under “alerts” its very annoying that I cant (a) get it to work (b) ignore it.

Is this happening to anyone else? Will this thing stay here until I reach 1 month of usage?
Does anyone have a fix for this protection report?

Any insight would be helpful as I can’t get rid of the alert. NO matter how many times I open it and close the protection report.

Sorry, I do not recall Protection Report with new/recent Norton install.

Did you run Norton LiveUpdate + Restart (not Shut down) machine?
Did you look at your Protection Report online…just to see what’s online?

  1. Go to my.norton.com in a browser
  2. Sign in to your account
  3. Click Protection Report at the top of the page

fwiw ~ my Protection Report with new/today Norton 360 install is gathering, too.

I am getting this prompt which will not go away no matter how many times I view the incomplete report.

Can you confirm that the report won’t go away even after viewing it a million times?

Is this a bug? why wont the alert go away?

Yeah, Alerts seems to be hinky…at that this.
Alerts 1 … regardless how often I’ve → Open report

We’re all new to 25.2…so, confirming what’s a bug…is ?

So does it finish gathering the information? I sat there for 3 hours and nothing happened. I went back to the app and the notification (alert) was still there. THAT is what I am trying to ask you all.

I can’t clear the report alert/notification.

I guess I will just have to live with it I guess.

Dark Web Monitoring reports & Cloud Storage reports. Device Security remains < gathering data >.
I can’t clear Alerts notice…too.
I can temporarily clear Alerts…then cycling user interface…returns Alerts 1.

Note: on my dust collector machine with v25.2
Device Security also remains < gathering data >
Alerts 1…Protection Report → Open report …notice does not clear.

This product has worked flawlessly for me since the late 90’s

In the past 3 months I have had to manually fix things that version 25 have created including turning off NetBIOS to stop the 1 million UDP notifications in the log history, Norton changing my network from public to private. Norton signing ssl certificates (man in the middle) and now we have this problem.

I am so close to cancelling my subscription.
One more issue and I’m out.

So now that we have identified a issue with the product does anyone from Norton actually see or read these posts? if so have they ever been known to fix anything?

I can confirm this is now resolved in 25.2.9898 (build 25.2.9898.919)

The alert is now gone.
