I have the same problem.
Norton tells me that the system is at risk
I click Fix now, it runs... it succefully downloads the updates
BUT the red flag remains... computer still at risk
I have repeated this process many times but stil the same
I have rebooted many times too.

Norton Anti Virus 18.5.0.125
I have 238 days left in my subsrciption
Done all of the above, rebooted many times run the scan from disk, run the NPE.exe and rebooted
Still the same problem.

Hi qwentes, I have just had exactly the same problem. I also tried the suggested solution detailed above as you did. It did not work either. On further investigation, the problem seemed to be caused by me accidentally changing the date on my PC to four months in the future. Once I changed the date back to the current date, I then ran the Norton 'Fix' again, but this time it worked!
Perhaps you could check if your system date is correct?

ok not a computer person.....date of the actual computer or the date of the antivirus? Meaning listed on the antivirus page? and
if anitvirus page...where is this?
