Question about VSNAP.IDX File

I recently had to wipe my computer clean and reload Windows along with all of my Norton products, this included Ghost 15.  It had been about 3 weeks since the reload and my backups had been going fine.  Then the other day one of my incremental backups stalled on me.  I'm assuming it had something to do with me loading another program while Ghost was performing the back up, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, I went to delete my old back up job and define a new one.  At the same time I was also going to delete the VSNAP file.  When I went to search for it my root directory, I couldn't find it.  I had view hidden files on and still nothing. How is possible that I don't have a VSNAP file?

After deleting the old backup I was able to run a new one without any trouble, but I was under the impression that Ghot created a VSNAP when a new backup job was run. Any thoughts?

jmillrood,

You have to set Folder Options to show Protected Operating System files.

That is strange, before I was able to find it with the view hidden files option checked.  I'll have to check my setting for viewing Protected Operating System Files.  Thanks.
