1) Will NAV 2008/09 be able to detect and remove 'keyloggers'? As it was not explicitly stated under the product's decription.
2) Will NAV decrease laptop's battery life due to its 'real time' scanning? Or is there any other "laptop-friendly" Norton product? Or is it very low and customizable for the average laptop? Cause my trial NAV is causing my laptop to decrease battery life faster. (tested on several other laptops too)
Seems this is the only way I'm able to "get through" to norton before purchasing a Norton product as all the other contact options were designed for corporate enquiries and more towards after-purchase support.

1 ) Yes. Keyloggers are spyware.
2) I think NAV 2009 won't decrease the laptop's battery life due to its "real time " scanning. The latest products have improved a lot if compare to the NAV 2008. Your trial NAV is 2007 , 2008 OR 2009 ? Try using the latest NAV 2009.

Hi Min,
Norton AntiVirus and Norton Internet Security 2009 are very laptop friendly. In fact, they will recognize when the laptop is running on battery power and postpone running background tasks until it is back on AC power. The real-time scanner should have a negligible effect on battery life.
How about NAV 2008?
Thank you all for responding to my queries. I really appreciate it and it would help in catalyzing my decision to get NAV over my current one, which is NOD32.

Min Rodrigues
The real time protection shouldn’t have cost you on the 2008 product but the scheduled scans certain could. NAV 2008 didn’t have the same power saving features that Garrett described, but note that if you have NAV 2008 and your subscription is still current you are entitled to a free upgrade to the 2009 version.
Thank you very much.
Warmest Regards,

For question 1.
Answer, Yes it does, I have just tried to download and install a keylogger and it blocked and removed it.
